Frequently asked questions
- What resolution are the exported images?
- Default is 150 DPI, which suits the screen. Presets cover 72, 150, and 300 DPI, and the scale slider moves freely from 0.5x to 4x for anything in between.
- Can I export all pages at once?
- Yes. A ZIP download contains every page as a separate image file.
- PNG or JPG?
- PNG for crisp text and graphics. JPG for smaller file sizes with photo-heavy PDFs.
- Does it work with scanned PDFs?
- Yes, scanned PDFs render as images directly - quality depends on the original scan resolution.
- Can I convert only part of the document?
- Yes. Switch to custom pages and enter something like 1-3, 5, 7-9. A range that runs backwards or past the last page is rejected and nothing is converted until you fix it.
- Is the text in the exported image still selectable?
- No. Each page is rendered to a canvas, so text becomes pixels. Keep the PDF if you need to search or copy text, or run the images through OCR afterwards.
