How to merge PDF files without upload
Use PDF Merge when several documents need to become one file, such as application packets, invoices, receipts, reports, or class materials. Put the files in the final order before exporting.

- Reorder the files so the first document appears first in the final PDF.
- Click merge and download the combined PDF.
Privacy note
The merge process runs locally in the browser. Your documents are not transferred to a remote PDF server.
Frequently asked questions
- How many PDFs can I merge?
- Each selected PDF can be up to 100 MB. The practical number of files depends on their page count, complexity, and the memory available to your browser.
- Can I reorder pages before merging?
- Yes. Drag and drop PDF files to reorder them before clicking Merge.
- Are my PDFs uploaded?
- No. Merging happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Your documents never leave your device.
- Does it preserve bookmarks and forms?
- No. Pages are copied with pdf-lib, which carries page content and page annotations but not the document outline or AcroForm fields. Expect to rebuild bookmarks and form fields after merging.
- What happens if one of my files is rejected?
- Files over 100 MB, files with no pages, and files that cannot be parsed as PDF are listed with an error and skipped. Merging needs at least two valid PDFs.
- Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
- A PDF that requires a password to open cannot be read and is reported as invalid. Documents that are only restricted from printing or editing usually load and merge.
